EPU is currently recruiting to fill the following position:  



Position Purpose:
The Reception-General Assistant position is to provide relief for the receptionist for lunch and rest breaks and to cover for times the receptionist needs to attend meetings or if absent.  When providing relief the main function of the position is to greet and direct families upon arrival, answering and directing phone calls.  General assistant responsibilities are to provide general clerical and administrative support for human resources, administration and development department.  The Reception - General Assistant position is a part-time position working 28 hours per week.  

Job Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.  Degree preferred but not required. 
Experience:  1+ year's experience in a reception, clerical or administrative position.

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be bi-lingual in Spanish.
  • Must be available to work Monday – Thursday from 8:30am – 3:00 pm with a ½ lunch, and Fridays from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Must have had a negative TB test within the past year.
  • Must be computer literate and familiar working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Personal Qualifications:  Must have warmth and sensitivity to the issues facing children and families with special needs. Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision.  Must be personable and be able to work well in a team environment, be organized, and take pride in producing a high quality product. 


Position Purpose:
The Occupational Therapist (OT) works as a member of the Assessment Center team in serving young children through age 5 and their family.  Responsibilities include assessing young children with developmental, sensory, and behavioral challenges and working with other Center team members and the family in developing and implementing family centered care plans.

Job Requirements:
BA/BS degree Occupational Therapy and licensed to practice in the California.

Experience:  Two plus (2+) years’ work experience in pediatric occupational therapy assessing and treating young children with developmental, sensory and behavioral challenges and in working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Candidate must be computer literate with Microsoft Office products.
Successful candidates will need to hold a valid California Driver with no serious violations with in the past 5 years.  Provide a negative Tb test result within the past 12 months.
